The distribution of drinking water for infants has finished.

Information From Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks Bureau Regarding Tap Water

As of March 24 6:10 pm

Today, the Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks Bureau has collected water samples (tap water) on March 24 6:00am from the Kanamachi Purification Plant to check the density of radioactive substances.
The result was announced that the level of “radioactive iodine (iodine 131)” measured 79 becquerel/kg was below 100 becquerel/kg.

Therefore, concerning the tap water in Tama City, it is considered that there is no problem even if all the people including infants 1 year old and younger drank the tap water in Tama City.

Power Failure・有関計画停電

There will be electric power cut.

This is not the one caused by accident but the planned power cut because of insufficient generation of electricity after big earthquake.

Therefore the electricity company will control power supply with rotating power cut .

Please save electricity .

To know what time and which area the rotating power cut is carried out, TV and radio program will announce the schedule accordingly.

There might be some shops closed to save electric power .

Please cooperate with us for saving electric power.

Precautions on Blackouts/停電時的注意事項

Please refer to the precautions listed below in preparation for power outages.

*Before the electric power failure happens, let us pull out the plugs from electrical appliances. If you did not unplug them, the fuse may blow out when the electricity comes back and once the appliances using motors, etc. run simultaneously, that may also affect other appliances.

*As water pump uses electricity, water may stop when the electric power fails, so please keep stocks of drinking water and water for toilets before the blackouts occur. Please use the water such as from the bathtub, for flushing your toilets.

*Blackouts may occur during your meal time, so please prepare your meals in advance. It is very dangerous when the electric power failure occurs while you’re cooking.

*Using such as candles as your lights is dangerous that can cause fire, so please take enough precautions when you use them.

*Because all electric heaters can not be used, please keep yourself warm and get over with the coldness effectively.
